Last night I visited a new place I had never been to in Halifax called The Middle Spoon Desserterie & Bar on Barrington Street! It was a very nice experiend! Me and a friend were looking at the speical sign when a server opened the door and invited us in! I thought this was really great customer service!  

The automosphere is really relaxed and the lighting is dim! There are several couches and chairs made of black leather to get comfy in! We went downstairs to sit! 

Since we had never been there before, the server (Can't remember her name) explained to us what the special was that night and some of the things that are unique about the place! 

I was not feeling to hungry, so I just had a drink called Material Girl! It was very sweet and tasty!! Kind of small for the price -- but I enjoyed it nonetheless! : ) 


I will definielty be going back at some point and I recomend this place to someone that likes dessert (lol) and a nice place to relax!


They are located at 1559 Barrington Street and the hours are 4PM - 11 PM Monday-Thursday and Friday and Saturday 4PM to 1AM.

Very sad news! 

A 125 year old statue in Halifax's beautiful Public Gardens was pushed over and severely damaged! It breaks my heart to see this happen and I do not understand why vandels felt the need to do this! : (

The park is bringing in a heritage consultant to estimate the damage and see if it can be repaired! The statute remains on the side in the gardens.Image via Metro Halifax
